What Is Disney Channel Most Successful Show

Everyone has a favorite Disney Channel show, even though they seem to rotate with the seasons. There have been so many Disney stars that have come and gone, and few stick around for the long haul, whether on their own shows or with offshoots of the Disney franchise.

But many former Disney Channel stars are plenty successful today, having moved on from the house of mouse. In some ways, though, they can't quite match the hit-making level of their former shows.

Of course, that doesn't mean they haven't tried. From singing to rebooting their past successes on Disney, two specific stars have gone on to create their own legacies, apart from their 2000s-era shows.

Per IMDb, the most successful shows in Disney Channel history are 'That's So Raven' and 'Wizards of Waverly Place.' It's not surprising to anyone who grew up watching the shows, which spanned 2003 to 2012, collectively.

But finding out that Selena Gomez and Raven-Symoné both had huge hit-makers and are essentially Disney royalty may be a bit surprising to the now-adults who grew up watching the two tween/teen shows.

For its part, though, 'Wizards of Waverly Place' broke a higher record than Raven's sitcom. Per IMDb, 'Wizards' finished its run with 106 episodes, sending Selena Gomez off into stardom quite successfully.

Raven-Symoné, for her part, largely laid low for a while after her show wrapped. But then, she successfully pivoted into talk show primetime with 'The View,' which was a bit of a surprise to her younger fan base.

Andthen, Raven-Symoné revamped her earlier show on Disney with 'Raven's Home,' a testament to her staying power with fans and the network itself. For Selena's part, she hasn't really returned to acting full-time since finishing up 'Wizards.'

Instead, she grew into one of the most iconic pop singers of the era. Of course, she's also started a TV series ('Selena + Chef'), and she has a movie role coming up -- and just might be retiring from singing, as much as Cardi B hopes she won't.

But both leading actresses have found their paths thanks to Disney, much like other, though less successful, starlets.

For one, Dove Cameron went mega-hit on Disney with 'Descendants,' but then she headed on over to Broadway to continue her upward trajectory. And even the former stars of lesser-known Disney shows (like 'Bizaardvark') have gone on to climb the relevancy rungs -- Olivia Rodrigo and her hit song are a recent example.

While Disney Channel fame isn't a ticket to a lifetime of success for every child actor and actress, ithas proven lucrative for a large subset of stars. Clearly, House of Mouse was worth adding to their resumes.
