To fix the 'no signal' error on Dish TV, ensure that all the cables are connected properly and are working. Next, check the input source and look for the green light on the receiver. Check TV Input

Before you move on to any of the troubleshooting methods, it is advised that you check the input mode of the TV.

It is possible that you may have selected the input channel where no device is connected.

Most TVs are programmed to give the 'no signal' notification if the input channel is not connected to a device. To check the TV Input mode, follow these steps.

  • Locate the Input or Source button on your TV.
  • Press the button to display the input menu on the TV.

Try TV2 Default Channels

The issue will most likely be fixed as soon as the weather passes. However, there is a chance that the company might have to recalibrate the system. So, it will take longer than usual.

Reset Receiver

Your last chance at troubleshooting the system is resetting the receiver. To reset the system, all you have to do is unplug the power cord from the receiver or the outlet and wait for at least 20 seconds.

As soon as you plug it in, the receiver will reset itself. You will have to wait for a few seconds before all the operations start functioning normally.

Anything above 70 percent is good. Both the signal strength and quality should be above 70 percent ideally.

In some cases, antennas require to be mounted on a much higher surface, so you have to attach them to a rod. For this, you need professional help.
