Gw2 Easy Way to Get Make Over Kit
Q:
Would really like to know if there will ever be new options for character makeover/creation beyond that of hairstyles and faces? If so, roughly when could we expect them?
- New Horns for Charr
- New Tattoos for Norn
- New Ears for Asura
- New Ears for Sylvari

There's already the Total Makeover Kit which lets you change everything about your character's appearance except their race.

Yes. There are two kits. One for hairstyling and another for everything.
Just want to know if the races will have more options other than face/hair. I play a charr and would love new horn options. (Unfortunately there are few that I really like and most of my alts have the same ones.)

Huh, Imagine that. I never came across one before. Had no idea they existed. Perhaps it would be different If i purchased gems. I never have so my access to black lion keys is pretty limitted. TY for the info.
I have been asking this for a long time and wished for it in numerous threads….. Charr have quite few options and them not even being able to choose a shade/color on their horns, to match fur color, make many look te same "hornwise"… Also horn and claw color should match. Its a VERY visible feature for charr.

You don't need a black lion key to get a makeover kit (though you might get a kit in a chest). You can just buy the kit directly on the gem store, assuming you're willing to buy the gems with cash or with gold.
Even if you don't want to spend gems, it could be fun to window shop all the gem store tabs just to see what's out there so you know where people got the cool things you see them running around with.

It is cheaper. When you just want to change the hair, it costs less than a full body work.

You like the hair kit which is only available from the gem store or black lion chests, and said you would prefer a total makeover kit, then said hell would have to freeze over before you pay for it and you didn't know about it because you refuse to even look at the gem store?
Also the good news is you get a free total makeover kit for getting 5,000 achievement points and another at 10,000.

I'm fine with the tail situation because they're both nice and its one of the main ways to tell the genders apart.
I had considered adding the fur patterns for Charr, glow patterns for Sylvari, and skin markings for Asura — But I thought that may be asking for too much.
Would be great though.

Cosmetics are just not that important to me. perhaps i am the odd man out on that one. I certainly wouldn't pay for one. I feel we should be able to find the cometic stuff in game or work towards it. I have no problem paying for stuff i find valuable. Usually that involves some sort of utility.
Plus I am quite happy with my toons appearence. I made sure to choose well when rolling. I did use the head kit I found though. It was cool enough.
You're right about the gem store. I haven't been there in quite a while. every time I've looked through I found RNG type of stuff, over priced stuff (the mining picks come to mind), or cosmetic stuff i wouldn't pay for.
To each their own.
I really want to see more options other than hair and faces. Each time they add more hair/faces they are making customization more unbalanced because everything else is so much more limited. If someone makes a bunch of new characters of the same race, even using new features, they will ultimately have to re-use stuff. It kinda puts a damper on the excitement of new hair and faces.
Also, we did get new charr horns once (Rox's horns) so it is possible. The problem with releasing things like this is the fact that some races will be left out. You could add facial hair for male humans but the women would still be left out.
I'm only here because sometimes I just like to watch things burn.
Personally, I'd like the TMK to be a little more than it is.
Let me choose what eyes I want (Asura slitted eyes) instead of forcing me to have to pick a babymashed face if I want those specific eyes.

Would definitely like to see the options expanded too.
I want a female version of that one male norn face with the claw marks and messed up eye.
